Obituary

Mrs. Zelma Lura Golden, 98, of Union City died 2:00 a.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Eric Golden, Cullen Golden, Tommy Owens, Jamey Covey, Jonathon Enochs, Corey Siglow and Wesley Shepherd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Covey and J.R. Long.

Mrs. Golden was born March 27, 1915, in Obion County, daughter of the late James Wiley and Alma (Raby) Johnson. She married Wade Golden September 29, 1941. He died October 28, 1996. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Margaret Tidwell of Fredericktown, Missouri, Sammy and Nellie Golden of Sweeny, Texas, Mackie Golden and Perry and Faye Golden all of Union City and Joey and Lori Golden of New York, New York; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters; and two brothers.
