Zach
Brewer
October 25, 1977 – June 12, 2025
Zechariah "Zach" Isaac Brewer (47) was born in Princeton, West Virginia on October 25, 1977 and peacefully passed away on June 12, 2025 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis after a courageous journey with brain cancer. He is survived by his parents Alan & JoAnn Brewer of Palmer, Texas and Robin & Andy Kendall of St. John, US Virgin Islands.
Zach graduated from Obion County Central High School in 1996 in Troy, Tennessee and later went on to earn his Information Technology degree from the University of Memphis. He has been a resident of Memphis for 29 years where he built a profession as a Software Engineer and then Systems Architect for Cisco Systems, Inc. In his spare time, he participated in volunteer work with CodeCrew, a nonprofit organization that provides coding, digital systems, and programming education to underserved youth.
Zach was a tech savant, enthusiastic tennis player, a passionate video gamer, devoted Memphis Tigers fan, and a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his 8-year-old daughter, Addison Brewer.
In addition to his parents and daughter, Zach is survived by eight siblings: Leah Brewer of Knoxville, Tennessee; Andrea (Jeremy) Long of Union City, Tennessee; Rebekah (Bryan) Bowlin of Martin, Tennessee; Josh (Rachel) Brewer of Flowood, Mississippi; Lance (Chelsea) Kendall of Liberty Lake, Washington; Ashton (Megan) Kendall of Plano, Texas; Kelly (Jason) Bishop of Mansfield, Texas; and Ryan (Amber) Rodriguez of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents John L. Duncan, Renny & Silvie Isaacs, and Jim & Margie Kendall.
