Obituary

Willis C. Easley, 79, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 4:05 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at AHC Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Alamo Cemetery near Rives.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Tim James, Joey Tucker, Tim Wallace, Jeff Victory, Blake Cheatham and Fritz Fussell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby James, Ronnie Phillips, Kenneth Brooks, Frankie Cheatham, Bill Lancaster, Richard Hanks and Thomas Watts.

Willis was born March 6, 1944, in Union City, son of the late Lincoln and Louise (Griffin) Easley. He married Marna Lee (Wainscott) Easley August 30, 1963. She survives. Willis retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 33 years of service where he had been employed in maintenance. After retirement Willis trained perspective employees for Goodyear thru Dyersburg State Community College. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. Willis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City where he had served as a deacon, a sound technician and had been children's church director. He was a former member of the Obion County School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Marna Easley of Union City; two daughters, Jeannine Easley of Louisville, Kentucky and Dawn Easley of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Thomas Watts of Union City; two nieces, Carla Watts and her son, Ian Brown of Union City and Jacinda Graham and husband Scott and their children, Bre Graham, Chris Graham, Joey Graham and Marisa Graham all of Murfreesboro.
