Willie Thomas McCord, 53, of Union City passed away 9:53 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Angie Simbeck will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Willie was born July 15, 1972, in Dyersburg, son of Kenneth Ray McCord and Janie (Ward) Groeneveld. He married Rose Marie (Harrington) McCord on October 17, 1990. She passed away February 27, 2004. Willie was employed mowing yards for a living.

He is survived by his mother, Janie Groeneveld of Union City; his father, Kenneth McCord of Dyersburg; two daughters, Tabatha McCord and April McCord both of Union City; three grandchildren, Cody Senter, Naomi Senter and Elloitt Cope all of Union City; one brother, Ray McCord of Union City; and one nephew, Lee McCord of Union City.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Groeneveld.
