Mr. William David "Bill" Hills, 81, of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016, at his home. He was a former resident of Troy.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy. Ron Newberry will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 25, 1935, in Troy, son of the late William Drake Hills and Arlie Jane (Burnett) Hills Callis. Bill graduated from the former Troy High School in 1953 where he was valedictorian of his senior class. He taught at the former Hornbeak School and at Jefferson Junior High School in Oak Ridge for many years.

He is survived by a sister and her husband, Linda Lee and Don Allen of Troy; a niece and her husband Laura Lee and Dan Blakely of Rives; a nephew, David Dillon Puckett of Union City; a great niece, Hannah Blakely; and two great nephews, Jake Blakely and Cason Allen.

He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Jason Houston Allen.
