Wilford Prather Crawford, 71, of Union City passed away 7:40 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Old Republican Cemetery near Union City. Brother Gary Crawford will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Wilford was born March 23, 1950, in Union City, son of the late Wilford Floyd "Buck" and Mary Rebecca (Prather) Crawford. He retired from the City of Union City Parks and Recreation Department after 30 years of services and was a Christian.

He is survived by two sisters, Jean Pierce of Union City and Louise Sanford (James) of Yorkville; one brother, Floyd Crawford (Reba) of Union City; three nieces, Lisa Warren (Sam) of Union City, Tammy Foggie of Obion and Jenny Rushing (Nickey) of Fulton, Kentucky; four nephews, Terry Sanford (Natalie) and Richard Crawford all of Union City, Steven Sanford (Shanna) of Obion and Gary Crawford (Dawn) of Troy; his close friend, Scott Wilkes of Union City; several great nieces; great nephews; and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, David Crawford and Sammy Crawford; his niece, Lori Pierce Freeman; his brother-in-law, Bill Pierce; and his grandparents, Hardy and Earlean (Shepherd) Crawford and William "Bill" and Beulah (Cloys) Prather.
