Mr. Wilford Floyd "Buck" Crawford, 87, of Union City died 3:50 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Old Republican Cemetery near Union City. Brother Melvin Wade will officiate.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Crawford was born November 6, 1923, in Obion County, son of the late William Hardy and Erlean (Shepherd) Crawford. He married the former Mary Rebecca Prather on November 6, 1943. She died June 27, 1993. He was a retired employee of the City of Union City and a Baptist.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Louise and James Sanford of Yorkville and Jean Pierce of Union City; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wilford Crawford and Floyd and Reba Crawford all of Union City; his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Marvin Kempf of Peoria, Illinois; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, David Crawford and Sammy Crawford; two sisters, Betty Bradberry and Elizabeth Damron; and three brothers, Raymond Crawford, Herbert Crawford and James Crawford.
