Mr. Wesley Joe Walden, Sr. 75, of Union City, passed away 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at Manna Ministries near Union City. Sister Ruth Green will officiate. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Manna Ministries from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Johathan Jonas, Jared Jonas, Josh Staggs, Bryan Staggs, Luke Walden and Robert Cummins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Green, Joe Simpson, Aaron Ray, Sr., Harlan Bennett, James Hackler and Sonny Hackler.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Wesley was born July 26, 1941, in Jellico, son of the late Sampson Edgar and Joie Jeanette (Baker) Walden. He married Barbara (Estes) Walden October 12, 1963. She survives. Wesley retired from maintenance at Walden Books in LaVergne and was also a carpenter. He was a member of Manna Ministries.

He is also survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Wes and Debbie Walden of Union City, Mike and Cathy Walden of Munford, and Roger Walden and Randy and Kim Walden all of Panama City, Florida; five grandchildren, Steven Walden of Humboldt, Cacey Walden of Dayton, Ohio, Hannah Walden and Luke Walden both of Munford and Ethan Walden of Panama City, Florida; and two sisters, Lola Hackler and Callie Cummins both of Knoxville.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Danny Walden.
