Mr. Wendell Wayne Garr, 65, of Troy passed away 6:33 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother George Pridemore will officiate.  Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Caksackkar, Bobby Caksackkar, Matt Sanford, Todd Shupp, Rick Slangard, Keith Robbins, Justin Jensen and Jesse Jensen.

Visitation will be at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Garr was born March 3, 1952, in Missouri, son of the late Weldon and Elsie (Brown) Garr.  He married Beverly (Caksackkar) Garr July 11, 1970.  She survives.  He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service and was a correctional officer for Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville.

He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Yolonda and Robert Garr-Shupp of Troy, Dana and Rick Garr-Slankard of Peoria, AZ. and Tiffany and Matt Garr-Sanford of Rives; six grandchildren, Justin Jensen of Traverse City, MI., Jesse Jensen of Spotsylvania, VA., Alyssa Slankard of Peoria, AZ., Trinity Slankard of Peoria, AZ., Olivia and Gage Sanford of Rives; one sister and brother-in-law, Vilene and George Pridemore of Livonia, MI.
