Mr. Wendall Edward Jones, 74, of Hornbeak passed away 2:17 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Coulson will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mr. Jones was born December 10, 1940, in Dunklin County, Mo., son of the late Lewis F. and Maude Belle (Ward) Jones. He married Donna Kay (Duncil) Jones April, 19, 1972. She died January 2006. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Jones was also a member of Hornbeak Pentecostal Church and the Masonic Lodge in Caruthersville, Mo.

He is survived by three daughters, Windy Drageavaere of Union City, Jo Dawn Hooks of Nashville, Il. and Selina Thompson of Caruthersville, Mo.; several grand children, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; one sister, Louise Dye of Caruthersville, Mo.and brother-in-law, Jimmy Duncil of Hornbeak.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Kay (Duncil) Jones; two daughters, Debbie Jones and Jada Lynn Jones and several brothers and sisters.
