Robert Wayne Flowers, 82, of Troy passed away 7:02 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy. Rev. John Lowrance and Rev. Mitch Boulton will officiate. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Wade Kersey, Bobby Griffin, Jerry Calhoun, Odie "Pee Wee" Erwin, Vernie Erwin and William D. Smith, Jr.
Wayne was born November 12, 1935, in Troy, son of the late William Robert and Lemer (Ross) Flowers. He married Mary Anita (Morris) Flowers on December 20, 1963. She preceded him in death on August 20, 1993. Wayne had been employed as a delivery driver and sales clerk at the former Motor Parts & Bearing and Union City Parts. He was a member of New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder.
He is survived by one niece, Janet McGee of Troy; and two nephews, Kris Flowers and Barry Puckett both of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, William Carnell Flowers.
