Obituary

Mr. Waymon Gene Reagan, 85, of Woodland Mills passed away 2:03 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at The Waters of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Reagan, Peyton Reagan, Casey Waldrip, Sean Lanahan, Wayne Minot, Eric Smith and Wayne Akin.

Waymon was born February 11, 1938, in Dyer County, son of the late Charles Nathan and Mary (Brown) Reagan. He married Betty (Blaylock) Reagan March 3, 1956. She survives. Waymon retired as a supervisor at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 30 years of service. He was a former alderman in Woodland Mills, Tyre Masonic Lodge #587 in the Crystal community and Order of Eastern Star Chapter  #432 in Troy. Waymon was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church. He was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball and enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jackie Albright (Brent Cary) of Union City; his son, Craig Reagan (Stacy) of Howe, Texas; five grandchildren, Taylor Lanahan (Sean) of Murfreesboro, Lindsey Minot (Wayne) of Evans, Gerogia, Tyler Reagan of Carrollton, Texas and Peyton Reagan and Casey Waldrip both of Howe, Texas; three great grandsons, Hudson Minot and Parker Minot both of Evans, Georgia and Luca Lanahan of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Jo Ann Smith of Union City and Marsha Smith (Rod) of Memphis; and one brother, Lynn Reagan (Rose) of San Angelo, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Delbert Dent Reagan.
