Wanda Burden Wade, 71, of Union City passed away 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Private graveside services will be held Thursday with Stephen Sutton to officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Bishop Street Church of Christ, 908 Bishop Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261 or the charity of the donor's choice.

Wanda was born April 19, 1950, in Union City, daughter of Emery and Peggy (James) Burden of Obion who survive. She married Otis Fred Wade in 1989. He preceded her in death in October 2018. Wanda was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ and worked for many years at Tyson Foods. Wanda could warm a room filled with people with her precious smile and loving demeanor. She was a sweet spirit who never met a stranger and always had a kind word to share. Wanda loved her family and her forever church family and will be sorely missed by them.

She is also survived by her son, Michael Emery Jones of Union City; her daughter, Michelle Lee Jones of Union City; three sisters, Jenny Lou Rogers and Penny Hepler both of Union City and Linda Ivy (Vic) of Humboldt; two nieces, Ann Stover (Shane) and their children, Brandon, Morgan and Madison of the Minnick community and Sara Varwig (Tyler) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one nephew, Sam Ivy (Jennifer) and daughter Anastasia Lee of Jackson; and several other family members.
