Vonnie Keene 1927-2014
Mrs. Mary Voincille "Vonnie" Keene, 87, of Union City passed away 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mike Glover will officate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services Saturday.
Mrs. Keene was born March 4, 1927, in Kenton, daughter of the late Keltie M. and Ellen (Graves) Ray. She married Charles Edward Keene, Jr. April 4, 1946. He died July 1, 1973. She was a retired beautican, a member of Second Baptist Church and the Adult I Ladies Sunday School class.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Joe Watts of Union City; three grandchildren, Joni James and her husband Tim and Coby Watts and his wife Kim all of Union City and Ellen Crum and her husband David of Kenton; five great grandchildren, Travis Crum and Lindsey Crum both of Kenton and Olivia James, Carter Watts and Camden Watts all of Union City; one sister, Modine Bradley of Kenton; and two brothers, Grady Ray and Cecil Ray both of Kenton.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Keene Brown; one sister, Linda Smith; and one brother, Mitch Ray.
