Vivian  Louise Virden, 91, of Union City passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m until 2:30 p.m .
Tuesday. Private graveside services will follow the visitation.

Vivian was born October 28, 1931, in Kermit, West Virginia, daughter of the late Holman Graydon and Liddie (Dixon) Chapman. She married Jack L. Virden April 27, 1949. He preceded her in death July 21, 2015. Vivian and Jack lived in Union City from 1958 until 1976. During that time Vivian had been employed at the former Homestead in Union City as a cashier and in advertising. In 1976 the couple moved to Belmont, Mississippi where they made their home for many years. Vivian returned to Union City after the death of her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Danette Virden Kinsey of Union City; her son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Neva Jo Virden of Union City; her sister, Nancy Noe of Redford, Michigan;  five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Chapman and Holman Chapman.
