Mrs. Virginia Vernett (McCarter-Crane) Sherron, of Union City passed away on Thursday January 8, 2026.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Born October 11, 1936, Winston County Alabama to Pearl and John McCarter, Married to Dorris Andrew Sherron (Deceased). Children Wanda (Deceased) and Robert Burton, Randy and Linda Crane, Vanessa (Deceased) and Herb Wudke, Keith Crane. Grandchildren Jennifer, Mike, Jason, Amanda, Meghann, Deidre, Chris. 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren whom she loved them all very much. Mrs. Sherron was preceded in death by siblings Elmer (Deleen) McCarter, Odell (Ellis) Tunner, Janell (JL) McCreless, Betty (Jasper) Martin, Sue (Clyde) Donaldson, Don (Dean) McCarter, Jimmy McCarter. Mrs. Sherron left Haleyville Al. in 1955 moving to Chicago Il. and married Frank Crane (Deceased) and move to Tiptonville Tn. with Husband Dorris in 1993 and in 2005 moved to Union City Tn. Mrs. Sherron will be deeply missed.
