Mrs. Virginia Bell Pippin, 79, of Union City died 1:37 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

There will be no services. Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Mrs. Pippin was born March 12, 1932, in McEwen, daughter of the late Richard Henry Lee and Florence Bell (Meredith) Hicks. She was a retired employee of Wyckoff Steel Company in Chicago, Illinois and was a Baptist.

She is survived by her daughter, Karla Denise Aguilar of Union City; her son, Donald Dean Pippin of Chicago, Illinois; her brother, Henry Hicks of Rives; her sister, Bessie Lou Forrester of Waverly; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
