Mrs. Violet Grace " Vi " Owens, 83, of Union City passed away 6:25 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Diversicare of Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jim Boaz will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Vi was born August 3, 1937, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Bruce and Margaret (Wealand) Arndt. She worked at Walmart for 33 years as Hardware and Paint manager before retiring in 2017.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria McCormick (John) of Herrin, Illinois and Gwendolyn Arndt of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one son, Bill Owens of Union City; three grandchildren, Lindsay Teal (Josiah) and Connor Sanders all of Herrin, Illinois and Mikaela Kluver of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two brothers, David Arndt (Joan) of Palmyra, Pennsylvania and Rodger Arndt (Kathy); one sister, Joyce Gambardella (Sonny) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Daniel Edward Owens; and two brothers, Bruce "Sonny" Arndt, Jr. and George Arndt.
