Obituary

Mrs. Trixie Tera (Thurman) Weaver Heidelberg, 88, of Union City died 7:45 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Roger Harris in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Justin Hiens, Brother Eddie Mallonee and Brother Wayne Heidelberg will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Le Roy Segraves, Martin Jenkins, Terry "Butch" Stone, Mark Ward, Brent Hopper and Justin Lattus.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from  11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Mrs. Heidelberg was born July 9, 1928, in Elbridge, daughter of the late Floyd Vivian and Alice Matilda (Wallace) Thurman. She married Glenn Gray Weaver August 28, 1948. He preceded her in death April 1, 1962. She then married James E. "Buddy" Heidelberg August 14, 1976. He preceded her in death January 31, 1992. Ms. Trixie had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company in Union City, the former Martin Manufacturing and the former Kellwood Company in Trenton. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and the Obedience Sunday School class.  She was a precious mother who loved her Lord and Savior and was a great prayer warrior.  Having her family and friends around her gave her great joy. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking and reading.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and James Schroeder of Grant, Michigan and Jean and Roger Harris of Union City; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Weaver of Troy; five stepdaughters and the spouses of three, Elizabeth and Paul Bryant of Hatchie Station, Carolyn and Leroy Johnson of Jackson, Annette and Dean Jones of Jacks Creek, and Kathleen Heidelberg and Debbie Heidelberg both of Bethel Springs; three stepsons and their spouses, Wayne and Edna Heidelberg of Jonesboro, Arkansas, James and Peggy Heidelberg of Russellville, Alabama and Gary and Shirley Heidelberg of Bethel Springs; eleven grandchildren, Melanie Harris Kern of Union City, Jessica Harris Lattus and Justin Lattus of Pretoria, South Africa, Whitney Harris Hopper and Brent Hopper of Dresden, Leah Schroeder Churchill and Dan Churchill of Land of Lakes, Florida, Brad and Sue Schroeder of Big Rapids, Michigan, Novella Ricker and Michael and Zada Weaver all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Micheli and Richard Capanyola of Greenville, and Glenn Weaver, T.R. Weaver and Kendra Weaver all of Florida; one brother, Bill Thurman of Tempe, Arizona; one sister-in-law, Freida Thurman of Tempe, Arizona; 27 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; 23 step great grandchildren and 1 step great granddaughter; and was loved by Patsy King of Alamo, Elaine Gerrin of Rome, Georgia, Kathy Mansfield of Bells and Francine Hart of Mt. Juliet all of whom Ms. Trixie helped raise for several years.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Weaver, one grandson-in-law, Shaun Kern; four sisters, Jewell Lawson, Floy Lanelle Cleek, Nina Ross and Allie Ruth Thurman; one brother, Wallace Thurman, one sister-in-law, Ruth Thurman.
