Obituary

Travis Dwight Simpson, 81, of Union City passed away 6:06 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, at AHC Union City. He was a former resident of Dyersburg.

In honoring Mr. Simpson's wishes there will be no services.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Travis was born December 23, 1941, in Kenton, son of the late Harry and Mary (White)
Simpson. In his younger years, Travis enjoyed riding motorcycles, piloting small planes, and skydiving. He retired from the maintenance department at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City.

He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Lewis of Lewisburg; two sons, Jeff Simpson and wife Jodie and Michael Simpson and wife Brenda all of Union City; one sister, Linda Hurst of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers, Harry Simpson and wife Vicki of Rutherford and Jamie Simpson of Paragould, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Tyler Lewis of Columbia, Eric Lewis and his fiancé, Kimberly Miller of Nashville, Madeline Hawley and husband Blake of Knoxville, Chelsea Simpson, Hailey Simpson, Elana Hale and Hunter Hale all of Union City and Heather Jones and husband Bill of Kingston, Ontario; seven great grandchildren, Charlie Lewis and Cooper Lewis both of Columbia, Weston Jones, Harrison Jones and Grayson Jones all of Kingston, Ontario and Tanner Bishop and Tessa Bishop both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny Simpson, Terry Simpson, Pete Simpson and Michael Simpson who died in infancy.
