Tony Ray "IP" Ross, 62, of Union City passed away 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 2015, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Don Morgan and Brother Paul Sternisha will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Ursery, Robert Ross, Darryl Ross, Noah Maxwell, Bill Tyson, Patrick Ross, Holly Tyson and Jeff Walters.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Black and members of the Obion County Rescue Squad.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281.

Tony was born February 11, 1953, in McKenzie, son of the late James Paul Wardell Ross and the late Mary Elizabeth (Webb) Ross. He married Anita (Myatt) Ross June 8, 2006. She survives.

Tony retired after 35 years of service from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Obion County Rescue Squad which he had served on for 27 years. Tony was well known for his generosity towards others and had served on numerous poker runs to help people in their time of need.

He is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Ronnie Maxwell of McKenzie and Keisha and Nathan Hunt of Dyer; one step daughter, Angel Mosley of Murfreesboro; one step son, Todd Reynolds of Dyersburg; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty and Dennis Ridley and Debbie and Billy Wilkes all of McKenzie and Ann Hill and Sheila Bynum both of Union City; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Darrell and Debbie Ross and Robert Ross all of McKenzie; and 9 grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Ross, Jerry Ross, Roy Ross and Dale Ross.
