Clintonia "Toni" Nelson, 74, of Union City passed away 8:40 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Austin Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Nelson, Joe Nelson, Mike Nelson, Charlie Hill, Nick Mayfield and Brandon Hutcheson.

Toni was born July 1, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Arlie Earl and Lawanda (Cole) Brown. She married James Nelson July 17, 1966 and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James Nelson of Union City; two grandchildren, Kassy Nelson of Troy and Jacob Nelson of St. Charles, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Kaydence Mayfield and Lily Mayfield both of Troy and Noah Yates of St. Peters, Missouri; and her fur baby, Bella Rose Nelson.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, James Earl Nelson and Rodney Wayne Nelson; one granddaughter, Christy Nelson; two sisters, Joyce Burpo and Arlana Brown; and one brother, William Brown.
