Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Sweatt, 78, of Rives passed away 8:36 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his home.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Tommy was born December 30, 1945, in Greenfield, son of the late T.C. Sweatt and the late Lona Mai (Gant) Sweatt Norton. He married Jean (Arant) Sweatt in 1990. She preceded him in death December 11, 2001. Tommy was a retired mechanic and was the owner & operator of T & J Auto Repair and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by one son, Donald Sweatt and wife Sheri of Dyer; one granddaughter, Jessica Holland and husband Cody of Dyer; three great grandchildren, Cali Holley, Carson Holley and Avalee Holland all of Dyer; four brothers, Terry Sweatt of Martin, Jerry Sweatt of Skullbone, Ray Sweatt of the Hop In community and Albert Sweatt of Wisconsin; and two sisters, Vicki Pinkium of Wisconsin and Trenna Harris of Kenton.

He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Steve Sweatt, Danny Sweatt, Dale Sweatt, Robert Sweatt and Gary Sweatt; and one sister, Kathy Gamblin.
