Obituary

Thomas Edward "Tommy" Reedy, 80, of Union City passed away 7:00 a.m Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Obion County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Bishop Street Church of Christ. Stephen Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery near Union City.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and at Bishop Street Church of Christ from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Guy, Guy Walker Gray, Lowell Grooms, Chuck Reedy, Chris Lynn and J.C. Coleman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Clark, Gerald Storey, Johnny Guy, Clois Snider, Harvey Darnell, Tony Henson, Richard Potter and Donnie Reedy.

Tommy was born April 22, 1938, in Obion County, son of the late Dennis "Pig" and Louise (Malone) Reedy. He married Barbara (Tidwell) Reedy June 19, 1998. She survives. Tommy retired as a foreman with Storey Sawmill in Troy after 33 years of service and was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ.

He is also survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tammy and Jerry Ross and Teena and Chris Flowers all of Troy, and Sonja Ams of Scottsdale, Arizona; his son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Michelle Ams of Atlanta, Georgia;  his brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Rita Reedy of Troy; five grandchildren, Zach Brown, Mallory Boxx, Issac Brown, Cooper Ams and Gabbi Ams; and one great granddaughter, Emerson Boxx.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Razz and Ethel Malone and Charles and Myrtle Reedy.
