Tommy was born the son of the late Paul Parker and Mozelle (Easterwood) Parker at the family home in Troy, Tennessee. He married his childhood
friend and high school sweet heart Vada (Pitts) Parker on February 16, 1962. She survives. They have three children, Edward Lee Parker, Linda Carol Lewis and David Luke Parker. Tommy was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Parker; and one sister, Peggy Hazelle Johnson.

Tom was a bi-vocational pastor and construction worker for most of his life and retired as the maintenance supervisor from Union City Manor. Together, Tom and Vada started and or pastored Open Door Baptist Church in Troy, Tennessee, Marshall Baptist Church in Marshall, Missouri, and Wrangell Bible Baptist, Wrangell, Alaska.

Tommy graduated from the former Troy High School in 1961. He graduated from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri with an associates degree in biblical studies in 1978.

Tom greatly loved his family, friends, pets and Jesus. He was kind and generous. He was the first and lifetime playmate to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would bring humor into any situation. He was a great support and encouragement and would celebrate the "almost winner", as much as the actual game champion.

Tommy's greatest accomplishments live on in those who were honored to have him in their lives. He had such a sweet gentleness about him and he touched and influenced the lives of many with a kind word, caring smile, and his testimony, sharing and setting the example of a personal relationship with Christ.

Tommy is also survived by his three children, Lee Parker (Cindy) of Troy, Linda Lewis (Michael) of Montgomery City, Missouri, and Luke Parker of Union City; grandchildren, Heather (Tony) Quinn, Ben (Hailey) Parker, Andrew Parker, Belinda (Lomar) Holloway, Zachary Parker, Mason Parker, and Caleb Parker; great grandchildren Jacob, Wyatt, Ella, Clay, Gabby, Juniper and Finn; sisters, Paula Jean Thompson and Patricia Schertenlieb both of Troy; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Kathleen Parker Scholarship Fund , P.O. Box 275, Union City, Tennessee 38281.
