Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Griffin, 89, of Woodland Mills passed away 6:08 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Donnie Ragsdale and Dr. Cecil Sewell will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Mr. Griffin was born July 28, 1926, in Obion County, son of the late Thomas and Hattie (Weaver) Griffin. He was married to Margaret (Nipp) Griffin. She preceded him in death on May 12, 1997. Mr. Griffin was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City and the Union City Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Roney of Union City and Judy (Phil) Licary of South Beloit, Illionis; two sons, Tom (Debbie) Griffin of Hixson and James (Lorie) Griffin of Cayce, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Aaron "Super" Roney; two grandsons, Robert Griffin and Josh Griffin; and one brother, Gene Griffin.
