Tillman Wayne "Tim" Doss, 81, of Union City passed away 12:57 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at Van Ayer Senior Living & Rehabilitation in Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee and Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Barry Keathley, Mark Bell, Allen Nohsey, Bryan Keathley, Fred Dotson and Terry Petty.
Tim was born December 18, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late Elwood Doss, Sr. and the late Mabel Clair (Welch) Doss. He married Shirley Ann (Perry) Doss September 26, 2015. Tim had served in the Tennessee National Guard for many years. He was a retired journeyman tool & dye maker. Tim was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church and had served as minister of music at several churches. He was a hobby arborist and a avid quail hunter. Tim enjoyed traveling with his family, attending and promoting southern gospel music concerts, trap shooting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Doss of Union City; one daughter, Audrey Gregg and husband Blake of Union City; three sons, Darren Doss of Martin, Tillman Doss, II and wife Wendy Jo and David Doss all of Union City; two stepsons, Gary Cross and wife Hillary of Paducah, Kentucky and John Cross and wife Amanda of Martin; one step daughter, Adalicia DeGroff and husband Danny of Newnan, Georgia; two brothers, Elwood Doss, Jr. and wife Denise of Martin and Jerrel Doss Union City; twelve grandchildren, Sadie Gregg, Lexi Doss, Madison Thompson, Mason Walton, Shelby DeGoff, Brooklyn DeGoff, Maverick DeGoff, Sonny Cross, Owen Cross, Garrin Cross, Averie Cross and Jackson Cross; and two great grandchildren, Emmanlyn Thompson and Wrenlee Rae Buttrum.
