Obituary

Mr. Thomas "Joe" Roberts, 76, of Cayce, Kentucky passed away 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday at Moscow Baptist Church near Clinton, Ky. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery in Hickman, Ky. Brother Henry Callison, Brother Timmy Stinson and Brother Dale True will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Reilly , Mike Reilly, Billy Joe James, John Kirk, Tommy Willingham, Dickie Cruce, Scottie  Reilly and Joe Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Curlin, Jerry Granger, Tommy Rodgers, Robert Rodgers, Vercil Bryant, Gilbert Nicholas, Johnson Linder and Eddie Pernell.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial be made to the Moscow Baptist Church or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society .

Joe was born March 7, 1940, in Union City, son of the late Hallis "Ted" Thomas Roberts and Lorene Newton. He married Bennie Jean (Nerren) Roberts December 21, 1958. She survives. Joe worked for Sigri Carbon Corporation in Hickman, Ky. and served in the U.S. Army - Engineering. He was a member and deacon of Moscow Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for 40 years.

He is also survived by two daughters, Jodi (Joe) Kirk of Cayce, Ky. and Jeanna Roberts of Paducah, Ky.; two sons, Chris (Marie) Roberts of Oswego, Il. and Brian (Lori) Mitchum of Fulton, Ky.; two brothers, Jimmy (Sandra) Roberts of Ripley, Tn. and Richard (Marian) Roberts of Hickman, Ky.; two sisters, Brenda (Bobby) McMullin of Pevely, Mo. and Tonna Roberts of St. Petersburg, Fl.; eight grandchildren, Billy Joe Kirk, John Davis Kirk, Jessie Lee Kirk, Joe Tyler Hollingsworth, Thomas Cameron Roberts, Conor Landon Roberts, Abbiegail Christina Roberts and Sophie Marie Roberts and three great grandchildren, Alexander Hayes Kirk, Jadyn Kyle Hatcher and Halle Lynn Evans.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, DelRhea Adams.
