Tessa Lee (Cavin) James, 32, of Union City passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother John Clark and Dr. Cecil Sewell will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Cox, Clint Powell, D.J. Gammons, Jimmy Young and Dickie Garrigus.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281.
Tessa was born February 21, 1984, in Martin, daughter of the Dale and Amanda (Cavin) Moyes of Union City. She had been employed as a nurse's aide and was a homemaker. Tessa was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City, was active with the Hometown Walk of Hope and several area charitable runs and walks. She had a heart for animals and was involved in animal rescue.
She is also survived by her husband, Kevin James of Union City; four children, David Austin Cavin, Brandon Allyn Scott, Katie Beth Maerose James and Ali Lynn James all of Union City; three sisters, Brenda Joe Cavin of Hartford, Connecticut, Danyaile Denise Powell of Rives and Jessica Christinna Gammons of Union City; and her grandparents, Jerry and Rosemary Moyes of Clarksville, Indiana; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Junior Cavin and Eura Mae Cavin.
