Obituary

Terry Harris Wiseman, 70, of Troy went home to be with the Lord 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his home after a brief battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Troy First Baptist Church. Brother Tony Jones, Brother Lee McBride, Dr. Vann Kissell and Brother Rick Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Troy First Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Barker, Jimmy Harris, Charles Harris, John Harris, Guy Hensley, Doug Hensley, James Owen Guy and David Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Troy First Baptist Church youth and youth leaders and members of Wynridge Golf Club.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made on Terry's behalf to P.O. Box 223, Troy, Tennessee 38260 to support youth church programs.

Terry was born February 29, 1952, in Jackson, son of the late Bill and Annie Pauline (Harris) Wiseman. He married Mary Ruth (Guy) Wiseman November 24, 1972. Terry was a 1970 graduate of Obion County Central High School. Shortly after high school Terry went to work at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where he retired after 30 years of service. Terry was a member of Troy First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and was a active youth group leader. He was a member of Western Sun Masonic Lodge in Troy and was a Shriner. Terry was an avid golfer, a St. Louis Cardinals fan, a University of Tennessee football fan and a supporter of Obion County Central High School sports.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Wiseman of Troy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Tim Early of Aiken, South Carolina, Laura and Matt Russell and Lana and Jeremy Carson all of Troy; four grandchildren, Julia McCall Carson, Harrison Todd Carson, Marikate Elizabeth Russell and Samuel Wiseman Russell all of Troy; and his sister-in-law and her husband, Kay and Tom Hensley of Troy.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Wayne Wiseman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry Owen Guy and Mildred Douglas Guy; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Guy.
