Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Bobby Barnett will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery .

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Eric Burkeen, T.J. Burkeen, Will Little, Jarron Ams, Joey Henderson and Keith Hepler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Waymon Dyer, Dewayne Wilson, Coy Matheny, Bubba Scobey, Derek Parker and Russell Webber III.

Mr. Burkeen was born October 10, 1955, in Lake County, son of Marvin and Faye (Johnson) Burkeen of Troy. He married the former Anna Dyer on May 5, 1978. She survives. He had been employed at the former Bekaert Steel in Dyersburg.

He is also survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry Lee "T.J." Burkeen Jr. and his wife Amanda Burkeen of Mason Hall and Eric Burkeen of Troy; two grandchildren, Andrew Blake Burkeen and Brody Gage Burkeen both of Mason Hall; his father-in-law, Lloyd Dyer of Troy; and several uncles and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ina B. Dyer.
