Mr. Teddy Ray "Ted" Kendall, 67, of Gallatin died May 5, 2014, at the home of his beloved parents-in-law, Clint and Hilda Edmiston of Hornbeak, after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was a former resident of Obion County.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Bobby Stewart, Frank Matherly and Tony Brewer will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobb's Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Kelvin Kendall, Joe Kendall, John Kendall, Jamie Kendall, Mike Kendall, Keith Kendall, Richard Ragsdale, Brett Ragsdale and Ty Ragsdale.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Phipps, J.T. Ragsdale, Bruce Ragsdale, Chase Mayfield and Parker Kendall.

Ted was born February 4, 1947, in the Shawtown community, son of the late Luther and Marie (Flippen) Kendall. He married Judy (Edmiston) Kendall June 2, 1989. She survives. He had worked with his family in the former Kendall Orchard Company and then became the owner and operator with Keith Kendall and Roy Albright of Ted Kendall Timber Company until February 2008, when a tragic logging accident left him permanently blind. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ in Hendersonville and had been a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ and of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy. He had also played men's league basketball for many years.

He is also survived by his daugher, Katie Marie Kendall of Nashville; his son and daughter-in-law, Jay and LeAnna Fox of Obion; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Brewer of Shawtown and Jan Ragsdale of the Crystal community; his brother, Glen Kendall of Reelfoot Lake; four grandchildren, Jaylan Fox, Garan Fox, John Blakley and Jayce Autry, all of Obion; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ada Lou Kendall and Sam and Karen Edmiston, all of Union City, Patsy Kendall of Shawtown and Jane and Steve Lanham of Obion; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Kendall and Donnie Kendall.
