Suzanne Campbell Ray, 64, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 9:17 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family and her dog Baylee.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother David Hagan will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services.

In consideration of the family masks will be required to be worn for the visitation and funeral service. Due to the current pandemic please refrain from handshaking and hugging.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Forget Me Not Foundation of Northwest Tennessee, 3744 Cleek Echo Drive, Union City, Tennessee 38261.

Suzanne was born April 23, 1956, in Memphis, daughter of the late Dr. Joe Campbell and the late Gloria (Williams) Campbell. She married Kenny Ray April 19, 1986. He survives. Suzanne had been employed as a registered nurse for many years at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City and retired as the school nurse at South Fulton Elementary. She was known as a kind and gentle soul and a very caring nurse to her patients. Suzanne was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.

She is also survived by two daughters, Amanda Cranford and Whitney Ray both of Union City; one sister, Betsy Barksdale (Don) of Winston Salem, North Carolina; two stepsisters, Cynthia Ferrell (Charles) of Shelbyville and Tracey Armstrong (Danny) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; one stepbrother, Tim Campbell (Glynda) of Newbern; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Mike Campbell; and her stepfather, Frank Campbell.
