Mrs. Janice Elaine "Susie" Powers, 64, of Union City passed away 9:27 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

There will be no services at this time.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Susie was born January 24, 1958, in Wayne, Michigan, daughter of the late Frankie Dan Vancleave and Edna Elizabeth (Killion) Coleman. She married Charles William "Hoot" Powers June 25, 1977. He passed away January 10, 2022. She was a former waitress at Boyette's Bar B Que and Boyette's Dining Room at Reelfoot Lake.

She is survived by two sons, Joey Vancleave and James Melvin Powers of Samburg; her goddaughter, Mattie Burkett of Martin; three brothers, Jackie Krietman (Sueann) of Union City, Timmy Vancleave (Debbie) of Samburg and Noah Vancleave (Lisa) of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
