Susan Gail Swindle, 72, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 7:18 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mark Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Pallbearers will be Christian Roach, Austin Roach, Trent Johnson, John Adcock, Jon Chandler and Joey Barker.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Susan was born August 13, 1948, in Samburg, daughter of the late Wendell and Mozell (Bell) Morris. She had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company and the former Crown Manufacturing. Susan was a member of First Assembly of God in Union City where she oversaw the kitchen and meals at the church for many years and also served as an assistant Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by three daughters, Kim Hoffman and Jennifer Hoffman (Jon Chandler) of Union City and LeAnn Bracewell (Terry) of Lakeland, Florida; one son, Matt Hoffman (Connie) of Union City; two sisters, Margaret Kirby of Daphne, Alabama and Rebecca Skinner of Union City; two brothers, Elvis Morris (Pat) of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Randy Morris (Gail) of Camden; six grandchildren, Darla Adcock (John), Christian Roach (Sammi), Austin Roach, Bracie Bratton (Anthony Creel), Dara McDaniel and Caty Jo Hoffman; three great grandchildren, Hazlynn Bratton, Keegan Creel and Paisley Adcock.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, J.W. Morris; one granddaughter, Daryl Dunn; and one great granddaughter, Makenna Adcock.
