Susan Jane Sanford Barton, 64, of Rives passed away 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Lee Moses will officiate. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Jafet Romero, Louis Romero, Victor Romero, Katie Romero, Jeff Murray and Austin Wright.

Susan was born April 17, 1957, in Union City, daughter of the late Fred Oakley and Ola B. (Everett) Sanford. She married Fred Barton January 29, 1979. He survives. Susan was a homemaker and a member of Berea Church of Christ.

She is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Jeff Murray of Ridgely and Karen and Angel Rosa Newbern; five grandchildren, Jafet Romero and Luis Romero both of Martin, Victor Romero and Katie Romero both of Ridgely and Angela Rosa of Newbern; and one great granddaughter, Brinlynn Romero of Martin.
