November 17, 1946 – September 7, 2024
Martha Sue Cranford, 77, of the Shawtown community passed away 8:35 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Calhoun and Brother Jeremiah Nortier will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Adam Hill, Travis Hill, Jackie Bizwell, Jerry Bizwell, Rob Naylor, Clint Powell, Jeremy Bugg and Jimmy Henson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Bizwell, Devin Cranford, Chandler Cranford and Austin Parish.
Sue was born November 17, 1946, in Obion County, daughter of the late George Leonard and Velma Lee (Sanders) Lippard. She married Claude Cranford, Jr. February 14, 1965. Sue was a retired beautician and antique dealer. She enjoyed flowers, cooking and spending time with her family. Sue was a member of Cobbs Chapel Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Claude Cranford of the Shawtown community; four children, Bart Cranford (Robin) of Troy, Brent Cranford (Kay) of Henderson, Bryan Cranford (Christi) of Troy and Claudia Hoffman (Spencer) of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one sister, Phyllis Powell of Rives; one sister-in-law, Susan Hill (Joe) of Union City; nine grandchildren, Devin Cranford (Kayla) of Knoxville, Ali Nortier (Jeremiah) of Jonesboro, Juleigha Cranford of Clarksville, Lotti Hoffman and Carolina Hoffman both of Marmaduke, Arkansas, Chandler Cranford of Henderson, Tarren Simpson and Lucy Truett (Justin) all of Jackson and Austin Parish (Whitney) of Union City; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Ransom; and one brother-in-law, Stan Powell.
