Steve Douglas Hailey, 72, of Union City passed away 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Bobby Barnett will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Steve was born August 9, 1949, in Union City, son of the late Edward Chappell and Ellie (Cutler) Hailey. He married Elizabeth (Moore) Hailey January 26, 1968. She survives. Steve was a retired farmer and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports.

He is also survived by two daughters, Toni Jones (Glynn) of Clinton, Kentucky and Belinda Collins of Union City; one son, Keith Hailey (Tammy) of Union City; one sister, Gay Thomas (Frank) of Cordova; ten grandchildren, Allison Jones and William Jones both of Clinton, Kentucky, Brent Hailey (Janet) of Rives and Kimberly Edgin (Keith), Austin Collins (Emalee), Laura Haney (Jake), Ashton Hailey, Brayden Hailey, Tyler O'Neal and Connor O'Neal all of Union City; and five great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, John Hailey.
