Obituary

Clifford Harold "Sonny" Stonecipher, Jr., 72, of Hickman, Kentucky, passed away 9:45 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Church in Union City. Brother Billy Uzzle will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at First Pentecostal Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Scearce, Eric Williams, Kyle Kimmons, Charles Roberts, Charlie Roberts, Gary Blasingim, Jr., John Scott Summerfield and John Zabonick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Nichols, Phillip Hamil and Larry Blasingim.

Sonny was born November 14, 1946, in Cairo, Illinois, son of the late Clifford Harold Stonecipher, Sr. and the late Barbara Allen (Brown) Blasingim. He married Barbara (Blasingim) Stonecipher February 15, 1977. She survives. Sonny retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Union City. He had also served in the United States Army.

He is also survived by two daughters, Wanda Zabonick (John) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Tina Thomas (James) of Hickman, Kentucky; four sons, Larry Stonecipher of Cincinnati, Ohio, Clifford Stonecipher III of Egypt, Arkansas and Johnathan Stonecipher and Joshua Stonecipher both of Hickman, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren, Megan Stonecipher, Kimberly Shackleford, Aaron Stonecipher, Curtis Shackleford, Emily Stonecipher, Ashley Miller, Logan Stonecipher, Dylan Stonecipher, Nia Thomas, Cole Stonecipher, Tommy Thomas, Hunter Stonecipher and Adeline Stonecipher; three great grandchildren, Logan Collins, Whitaker Miller and Kennedy Shackleford; and one brother, Jerry Don Stonecipher of Colorado.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Dwain Stonecipher, one granddaughter, Tabatha Shackleford; and one sister, Shelby Jean Taylor.
