Shirley Scarbrough's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Joan Scarbrough, 82, of Union City passed away 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton and Brother Randy McClure will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Layton Scarbrough, Linden Scarbrough, Grant Larcom, Brandon Hutchison, Lance Lofton and Cameron Cole.
Mrs. Shirley was born December 1, 1935, in Muskegon, Michigan, daughter of the late Reynold and Verda (Greeno) Hellman. She married Harry Brice Scarbrough July 9, 1959. He died December 15, 1986. She worked for Wal-Mart for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodland Mills.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Venne of Brunswick, Missouri and Darryl (Kathy) Scarbrough of Union City; one brother, Terry (Nancy) Hellman of Muskegon, Michigan; one sister, Sandy Stibitz of Chandler, Arizona; six grandchildren, Dalene Venne, Robert (BJ) Venne, Eddie Venne, Matthew Venne, Layton Scarbrough and Linden Scarbrough, and several great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Venne.
