Shirley Pickering's Obituary
Shirley Rose Pickering, 78, of Union City passed away 5:30 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Millington Health Care in Millington.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother James Kinsey will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Ms. Pickering was born February 8, 1938, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Seldon Holly and the late Emma Ethel (Harrison) Mansfield. Shirley had been employed as a river boat cook and at Tyson Foods in Union City. She was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Keith) Vinson of Kenton and Becky (Mike) Busby of Hornbeak; tow sons, Danny Cannon of Paris and Jimmy Rainey of Union City; one brother, James (Lavada) Mansfield of Bartlett, Illinois; four grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Mansfield.
