Shirley Ritchie Jowers, 76, of Union City passed away 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at her home. She was a former resident of Marksville, Louisiana.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville. Rev. Beth Gaspard will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

She is survived by one son, David Biro of Mayfield, Kentucky; two daughters, Christina Biro of Sacramento, California and Patricia Dubea of Beaumont, Texas; one brother, Joe Ritchie; two sisters, Anna Riggenbach and Betty Brown; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha (Leasure) Ritchie; two brothers, William "Bud" Ritchie and Dwight "Bessie" Ritchie; and one sister, Carol Busche.
