Mrs. Sheila Kay Clayton, 72, of Union City passed away 5:29 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Marshall Key will officiate with burial to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Sheila was born November 21, 1952, in Fulton, Kentucky, daughter of the late Charles Willard and Betty Jane (Harris) Totty. She married Lacy Franklin Clayton March 24, 1989. He survives. She was the dietary supervisor at Obion County Nursing Home for 28 years and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 20 years. Sheila loved her family and friends dearly.
She is also survived by two sons, Steve Clayton (Jeanette) of Dyersburg and Tommy Bruff (Shannon) of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Christy Moss of Union City, Lara Yates of Union City and Trya Clayton of Humboldt; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles David Totty (Thelma) of Clinton, Kentucky and Larry Totty of South Fulton; one brother-in-law, Wayne Stevens of Conway, South Carolina; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Patrick Clayton; one granddaughter, Amber Hogg; two sisters, Patricia Waddell and Carol Stevens; and one brother, Gary Totty.
