Shannon (Yates) Townsend, 59, of Union City passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, at her home.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Jim Garner will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.

Shannon was born April 27, 1961, in Mayfield, Kentucky, daughter of Zadonna (Shelton) Rial of Greenfield and the late Jake Yates. She married Dale Townsend September 7, 1982. He preceded her in death April 25, 2018. Shannon was a retired beautician and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.

She is also survived by her stepfather, Doug Rial of Greenfield; her brother and sister-in-law, Sisca and Christie Yates of South Fulton; and two aunts, Jane Charlton of Wingo, Kentucky and Claudette Shelton of Maryville.
