Shannon Kay Bartz, 44, of Samburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Samburg. Born on May 22, 1981, in Stuart, Florida, she was the daughter of Cathy (Lira) Albritton and the late David Allen Bruen, Sr. Shannon married Brian Bartz on June 28, 2003, and together they built a loving family.

Shannon was a dedicated waitress and cosmetologist, who found joy in doing hair, makeup, and nails. Her vibrant personality and passion for her work touched many lives.

She is survived by her mother, Cathy Albritton of Samburg; her husband, Brian Bartz of Samburg; her children, Isabella, Maxwell, and Reed Bartz, all of Samburg; her sisters, Sheena Albritton of Stuart, Florida, and Sarah Street of West Palm Beach, Florida; her brother, David Bruen, Jr. of Samburg; her grandmother, Brenda Lira of Stuart, Florida; her grandfather, Paul Lira of Palm City, Florida; and her mother-in-law, Jo Ann Riddle of Samburg.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, David Allen Bruen, Sr.; her grandmother, Lucy Pike; and her grandfather, Paul Bruen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eric Burress will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Riddle, Chance Basham, Vivian Covey, Larry Tatum, Barry Arnett and Will Watts.
