Michael Shane Parnell, 38, of Rangeley, Maine and formerly of Union City passed away 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident near Union City.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Steve Carr will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Shane was born January 22, 1978, in Union City, son of Pat (Clinard) Sullivan of Union City and the late William Michael Parnell. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. Shane had been a member of the Tennessee National Guard where he served a tour of service in Dubai, Africa. He enjoyed walking in the woods and discovering new things, collecting mushrooms, working on computers and any kind of electronics, snowmobiling and eating canned meats.
He is also survived by his partner and friend, Tina Falasco of Rangeley, Maine; his sister, Nikki Parnell of Yorkville; his brother, Tyler Webb of Shelbyville his stepmother, Darlene Parnell of Yorkville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
