Funeral Live Stream

Joel Scott Madrey, 55, of Union City passed away 1:53 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Danny Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery near Union City.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Tim Partin, Royce Stanley, Roger Dunn, Brennan Wicker, Sean Slater and Wade Richards.

Scott was born October 4, 1965, in Mayfield, Kentucky, son of Linda Kaye (Harrison) Burcham of Union City and the late Joel Payton Madrey. He was a 1984 graduate of Obion County Central High School. Scott had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for twelve years until it closed and then had been employed by Dunn's Body Shop. He enjoyed hunting and watching motor sports and was of the Baptist faith. Scott was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.

He is also survived by his wife of twenty two years, Jennifer Lynn (Slater) Madrey of Union City; two brothers, Chris Madrey (Sherry) of Union City and Mark Madrey of Mayfield, Kentucky; one sister, Rhonda Brannon (Tom) of Mayfield, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
