Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth McCant Johnson, 88, of Union City passed away 2:50 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Dr. Bobby Williams will officiate.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 12, 1929, in Troy, daughter of the late Johnny and Mary (Hasty) Brown. She was the widow of Lawrence Johnson who preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Harris Station Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Kathy McCant of Union City; her daughter-in-law, Yvonne McCant of Union City; four grandchildren and the spouse of two, Christy and Dave Perry of Paris, Dennis and Chanda McCant of New Albany, Mississippi, and Roger McCant and Donnie McCant both of Union City; and three great grandchildren, Sean McCant and Paige McCant both of New Albany, Mississippi and Stuart Archer of Paris.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Hershel McCant; one grandson, David McCant; one brother, Samuel Brown; and two sisters, Dorothy Brown and Fannie Mae Imbriaco.
