Sandra Lee "Sandy" Owsley, 78, of the Polk Station community passed away 10:28 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at The Waters of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. David Kendall will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Pallbearers will be Tim Childers, Paul Hasselbrink, Sam Kendall, Joe Noles, Blake Owsley and Andrew Owsley.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Sandy was born June 19, 1945, in Dyer County, daughter of the late John Samuel Harper and Annie Mae (Taylor) Harper. She married Larry B. Owsley October 23, 1964. He preceded her in death June 13, 2019. Sandy had taught school in the Obion County School System and was a member of Rives Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Rhiannon Owsley of Troy; her daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Tim Childers of Henderson; and three grandchildren, Sadie Childers and Taylor Childers both of Henderson and Ella Owsley of Troy.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Taylor Harper; and two sisters, Ruth Simpson and June Arnold.
