Mr. Samuel H. Readenour, 77, of Gardner, Kansas and formerly of Union City passed away 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Costello will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Sam was born April 23, 1943,in Hickman, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph Henry and Annie Elizabeth (Markle) Readenour. He married Nannie Belle (Dodds) Readenour October 20, 1964. She survives. He was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard in Union City and worked for Suburban Propane for 42 years. He was also a member of Harris Station Baptist Church.

He is also survived by two sons, Donald Readenour (Gertraud) of Union City and Roger Readenour (Monica) of Jefferson City, Missouri; one daughter, Kimberly Leonard (Wil) of Gardner, Kansas; one sister, Brenda Kemp of Cayce, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Deedra Smith, Nikolai Readenour, Justin Kumberg, Stefan Readenour, Nathan Kumberg and Sarah Evans; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Maggie Readenour, and one brother, Joseph Readenour.
